About Me

Dawn enjoys work as a therapist since qualifying as
a remedial/sports therapist in 2006.

She maintains her membership with Scottish massage therapist’s organisation, which requires continuing development. Dawns work is spread around home and clinics in East Lothian.

She also has experience working at an osteopath clinic in Edinburgh, and believes as well as being a wonderful therapy in its self, massage extremely effective in complementing other treatments such as: physiotherapy, osteopathy. It enhances speed and quality of healing.

She went on in 2008 to complete a diploma in pregnancy massage. Her range of therapies include: remedial and sports massage, Swedish massage, pregnancy massage, Slavic massage and hot stones massage. Dawn has found massage to be a powerful tool, able to reduce physical pain whilst de-stressing.

Dawn is an IRIS level 2 therapist since 2018. This qualification is completed in conjunction with Iris Cancer Partnership. She is working with East Lothian Palliative Care Team developing her skills and understanding to help her provide massage for those living with cancer.

In 2018 Dawn completed Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Basic and Level 1). This allows Dawn to perform MLD techniques on clients with a healthy lymphatic system.

In 2024 Dawn did a course in Reiki with the intention to incorporate Reiki into her palliative work. Reiki has shown to be beneficial to regular clients who don't want massage or need emotional support, as Reiki brings comfort. It is easily brought into any session if desired.

A regular massage is truly an investment in yourself and your health, as prevention is undoubtedly better than cure.
